U.S. House Oregon District 5 Representative-elect Janelle Bynum delivered a victory speech and short press conference at her campaign headquarters in Happy Valley, OR., on Fri., Nov. 8, 2024. Bynum, a democrat, thanked her supporters and campaign workers and outlined her vision for the position she will be taking over from republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer.

Democratic state lawmaker Janelle Bynum celebrated her victory in the tightly contested race to represent Oregon’s 5th Congressional District in a speech from her Clackamas campaign headquarters Friday afternoon, just hours after The Oregonian/OregonLive called the race in her favor.
