Dear Families,
Today, our school was placed on a Hold for approximately eight minutes due to nearby police activity. At 3:01 PM, our Superintendent received a call from the Reedsport Police Department regarding a situation in the area. In alignment with the Standard Response Protocol from the "I Love U Guys" Foundation, we initiated a Hold to ensure the safety of students and staff.
During a Hold, students and staff remain in their rooms, hallways are cleared, and normal activities continue behind closed, locked doors.
After investigating, the police determined that there was no emergency, and the school received the All Clear at 3:09 PM. We take our responsibility to protect your children very seriously and appreciate your understanding as we take precautions to keep everyone safe.
