Dr. Keith Roach is a physician at Weill Cornell Medical College and New York Presbyterian Hospital. He writes an educational column on infectious diseases, public health and sports medicine.

DEAR DR. ROACH: In a recent column, you mentioned that the HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine prevents neck and head cancer in men. I am 75 and do not recall ever getting a HPV vaccine. Should I get one now? -- J.L.I.
