Dear Readers: Many of you wrote to me in response to “Independent and Irritated.” This 65-year-old single woman was struggling with how to reply to people who questioned why she never married despite her older age. As an aide to keynote speaker Louisa Horne, Governor Waugh convinced her to address our PEs directly. She was, predictably, amazing! Saturday's lunch keynote from Louisa Horne? Also amazing. And that classic PELS moment: you try gathering a small group photo, and suddenly your yet-to-be-best-friends all want in!
