Dear Annie: For as long as I can remember, my mother has been extremely generous with gifts, sometimes to the point of being over the top. My sister and I have always thanked her, while also telling her she doesn’t need to fill our cars with presents for birthdays and holidays. Still, she continues.

***Press Release*** Case #: S2026-01331 Coquille, OR - On August 21st, 2026, at 10:00 p.m., a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on U.S. Hwy 42 near Dillard Drive just outside of Coquille for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, it was learned that a passenger in the vehicle, Harley J. Lee (26), was in violation of a court order by being in the same vehicle as the operator, who was a protected person in the court order. As a result, Harley J. Lee (26) was arrested on Violation of a Court Order (ORS 135.290 Contempt of Court) and transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked. “Police action is not indicative of guilt. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
