Jess spent more than two decades helping community members work through conflict, bringing a listening ear, a calm demeanor, and a neutral presence to every conversation. Over countless volunteer hours he supported people during some of their most difficult moments, and he did more than that. He trained new mediators and strengthened our mediation program in ways that will serve Hillsboro long after his last shift. Jess also served our community as a Hillsboro Police Department Youth Peer Court Judge. We are grateful for his dedication, his compassion, and his commitment to serving others. Twenty-three years of volunteer service helped move us closer to our vision of being the most trusted police department in the Pacific Northwest. Thank you, Jess.
