Time for some spooky historyJoin us October 14th from 5-7 pm at the Riverside Cemetery for this year’s History Through Headstones cemetery tour. In this event, docents share the life stories of some of the people interred at the Riverside Cemetery. This year, in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the event’s theme is Revolutionary Connections: Honoring Descendants of Those Who Defined Our Nation. The featured people all have ancestors who supported the American Revolution in some way, be it fighting in George Washington’s army or allowing troops to use their resources. Come hear the stories of some of Albany’s historical inhabitants! #AlbanyOR #LocalHistory #CemeteryTour
