***Media Release*** Case #: S2026-00302 Coos Bay Ore - On February 26, 2026, at 7:32 p.m., a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to the Ellen Street Apartments to a report of an intoxicated subject refusing to leave. Walter E. Hazelwood (49) from Coos Bay was contacted and arrested on the charges of Disorderly Conduct II and Probation Violation. Mr. Hazelwood was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was lodged. “Police action is not indicative of guilt. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
