The tailgaters have been waiting for this date since January.  It’s college football season once again and both the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers open Saturday, August 30th, with home games in the Willamette Valley.  OSU has California coming to town in a meeting between two former Pac-12 teams.  Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m., Reser Stadium, Corvallis, and also televised on ESPN.  The Ducks might have what some would say is a “Cupcake” opener with visiting Montana State, Saturday, 1 p.m., televised on the Big Ten Network.  However, Oregon has new personnel to go with a preseason ranking of No. 7 in the AP Poll.  Texas is ranked No. 1, followed by fellow Big Ten teams in Penn State and Ohio State.
