Description
CCSO release - Joint Operation with USCG in Coos Bay - On September 4th and 5th, our Marine Division teamed up with the U.S. Coast Guard for a two-day operation focused on ensuring the safety of recreational and commercial vessels in Coos Bay. During the operation, we conducted 44 inspections of both commercial and recreational vessels. Here's a breakdown of the results: 8 vessels were found unsafe and returned to port. 3 violations were issued. 9 warnings were given. Our priority is keeping our waterways safe for everyone. Thank you to the USCG for their partnership and to our community for helping us promote safe boating practices! Let's keep safety first on the water. #CoosCountySheriff #USCG #BoatingSafety #CoosBay
