•••Coos County Sheriff’s Office Marine Division Assists With Jet Boat Marathon•••

On Monday May 6th, 2024, The Coos County Sheriff’s Office Marine Division participated in the 2024 World Championship Jet Boat Marathon.

This time trial race featured teams from across the globe, including Mexico, Canada, New Zealand and our American “home teams”.
This event took place over several days on the Rogue River, Klamath River and Coquille River.

Your Marine division was on the Coquille river Monday ensuring safe conditions for the racers and spectators during the portion of the race in Coos County.

This event was well managed by the race directors and appeared to be a hit for everyone who was lined up on the shore watching.

The Sheriff’s Office Marine Division was assisted by Coos County Emergency Management and Curry County Aquatic Safety Officer Luke Martinez for this evert.
