An extreme heat advisory is in effect for the greater Willamette Valley until Tuesday. Several Portland area counties have opened cooling centers to keep vulnerable residents safe.

Counties in the Portland area will again open cooling centers on Sunday to offer residents a break from the heat. While Sunday’s high could be slightly lower than triple-digit temperatures on Friday and Saturday, Portland will still get hot: forecasters predict a high of 98 degrees.
