At 1:53 p.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service issued a coastal flood advisory valid from Friday 8 a.m. until Saturday 1 p.m. for South Central Oregon Coast.
"High astronomical tides and an increase in surge associated with storm systems offshore resulting in minor coastal flooding at times of high tide," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "The highest risk of coastal flooding will be associated with the high tides Friday morning and early Friday afternoon and again Saturday morning into early Saturday afternoon."
