On Thursday at 12:14 a.m. a coastal flood advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. for Clatsop County Coast, Tillamook County Coast and Central Coast of Oregon.
"Tidal overflow flooding expected due to a combination of high tides and increased flow along coastal rivers," explains the weather service. "The tidal gauge in Toke Point, Astoria, and Garibaldi are all forecast to see tides of 9.5 ft or higher. When combined with high flow rates from heavy rain, tidal overflow concerns increase."
