Coos Forest Protective Association release - RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2PM TO 9PM WEDNESDAY (8/5/2026) FOR STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RH FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONE 616 (eastern Coos, eastern Curry, and majority of Douglas Counties).  Please follow all fire restrictions.  A red flag warning is in effect for the eastern parts of Coos County and Curry County, as well as the majority of Douglas County.  A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly.
