Coos Bay School District release - COOS BAY, OR – The Coos Bay School District Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Roberts as Interim Superintendent for a one-year term, effective immediately. This decision was made with a focus on ensuring continued stability within the district and maintaining the positive trajectory of current academic achievement.  Mr. Roberts is a familiar and respected figure within the Coos Bay School District community, having been the runner-up in last year's comprehensive superintendent search. His prior participation in the entire rigorous screening process, which included extensive interviews and evaluations, provided the Board with a deep understanding of his qualifications and commitment to the district.  The Coos Bay School District Board of Directors is confident that Mr. Roberts will discharge the duties of this office with diligence and care. His proven understanding of our district's needs and his dedication to educational excellence make him an ideal choice to lead us through this interim period.
