It's World Octopus Day! Celebrate your favorite cephalopod at a special storytime at the Charleston Marine Life Center. Octopus rhymes, songs, stories and an eight-legged craft. Free entry for storytime participants. Check out a local treasure today! Community Zumba, Wednesday, October 8 in the Myrtlewood Room, 5:30pm – 6:30pm. Join us for a fun workout with Zumba Instructor Corinna Dendy. These classes are suitable for all experience and fitness levels. Wear comfortable workout clothes and shoes and bring water!
Octopus Storytime
CBPL release - Celebrate everyone’s favorite eight-legged cephalopod at a special octopus-themed storytime with the Coos Bay Public Library at the Charleston Marine Life Center Wednesday, October 8 at 10:00am. Hear stories, learn rhymes and create your own octopus’s friend. Explore the Marine Life Center after storytime to see some of the creatures found in the stories. The event is free for children and their grown-ups. Located on the edge of the harbor in Charleston, the University of Oregon’s Charleston Marine Life Center is an exciting place of discovery for all ages, any time of the year. The Charleston Marine Life Center (63466 Boat Basin Road) is located at the end of Boat Basin Road, water side, just past Pacific Seafood; parking is available just past the Marine Life Center on both sides of Boat Basin Road.
