Coos Bay Public Library, 525 Anderson Ave., Coos Bay, OR - Autistic & ADHD Alliance: Parallel Play for Neurodivergent Folks - Monday, November 17 in the Myrtlewood Room, 5:30pm – 7:30pm. Autistic & ADHD Alliance is a monthly program for neurodivergent folks to come together to hang out and engage in parallel play. Parallel play is when people do separate activities while occupying the same space, enjoying what they like to do without trying to influence each others' behavior. Sometimes called being "alone together," parallel play is a nice way for neurodivergent people to enjoy being around other people without the pressure to hold up a conversation or perform in any way. Conversation is allowed, but not required! This is an opportunity to recharge your batteries, read a book, make some art, or play a game in a low-pressure hangout with other neurodivergent folks. We'll have a puzzle and coloring sheets available if you don't have another activity in mind. Open Men's Group - Monday, November 17 in the Cedar Room, 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Imagine a circle of brothers where you’re invited share your truth, clarify your vision for the life you want, gain the tools you need for action, find your strength, and hold yourself accountable.
