Program is for those who wish to practice their Spanish conversational skills and help other learners in a friendly setting. Attendees will have the opportunity to converse in Spanish as a group for one hour in a casual, informal environment. This is NOT a class but we will provide ideas for conversational topics. Pick up a free monthly Craft Takeout kit in the library on the 3rd Saturday of each month. How-to instructions and everything needed to create the monthly project will be included in each Craft Takeout kit. Limit one Craft Takeout kit per person. One Coast, One Book Discussion: They Called Us Enemy, Saturday, May 16 in the Myrtlewood Room, 1:30pm – 2:30pm. This event is part of the One Coast, One Book book club. Join us to discuss this year's book They Called Us Enemy by George Takei. This graphic novel tells the story of young George and his family during their time in one of the American concentration camps where 120,000 Japanese Americans were imprisoned by the U.S. government during WWII. Taste-Tea and Nourishing (Free class)

CBPL release - Coos Bay Public Library will co-host a class, Taste-Tea and Nourishing, by Natural Grocers’ Nutritional Health Coach, Cheryl O’Dell, MSN. The class will be on Friday, May 15 at 4:00pm in the Myrtlewood Room at the Coos Bay Public Library. Join us for tea time! Preschool Art at CBPL

CBPL release - The Coos Bay Public Library will offer a hands-on preschool art program for young artists 0-6 years old Friday, May 15, from 2-3:00pm. The program is free; no pre-registration is necessary. The program will feature craft projects that reinforce early literacy concepts and give parents and caregivers and young children an opportunity to meet each other. The program is part of the Coos Bay Public Library’s ongoing programming for young people and families. Birding Basics, Millicoma Marsh
