Coos Bay Public Library, 525 Anderson Ave., Coos Bay, OR -   SRP 2026: Baby Storytime, Tuesday, July 21 in the Myrtlewood Room, 10:00am – 10:30am, through August 5, Ages 0-14 months.  Meet other parents or caregivers and learn songs, rhymes, and early literacy tips.  Geared towards kids 0-14 months and an adult parent or caregiver.  Age Bracket: Kids, Families.  SRP 2026: Creature Teachers, Tuesday, July 21 in the Myrtlewood Room, 2:00pm – 3:00pm, All Ages.  Explore the weird and wonderful world of animals with Creature Teachers!  Creature Teachers will bring 7 to 10 animals and talk about the animals. Following the end of the presentation, there is a brief meet and greet with all the animals.  Space is limited to the first 100 people.  This program is made possible through funding from the Coos County Library Services District.  Age Bracket: Everyone.  Colored Pencil Pet Portraits with Craftsy: Cats!  Tuesday, July 21 in the Myrtlewood Room, 6:00pm – 8:15pm.  Learn to use Craftsy, available for free through the Libby app, and follow a tutorial to craft a custom portrait of your pet in this free class for teens and adults!  We'll be following 'Pet Portraits in Colored Pencil' by Gemma Gyling on Craftsy.  No experience necessary.  REGISTRATION REQUIRED.  We will be creating a contour drawing of your pet using carbon transfer paper, so please send a clear photograph of your cat to [email protected] prior to the day of the event.  The photo will be cropped to a square and printed for use in the class.  If you do not finish your project during the class, you're welcome to come back to the library to finish using the supplies we stock for the event.  Register.  Age Bracket: Teens & Adults.
