We will be crafting some holiday themed mocktails, discussing the health and social benefits of mocktails and winning some door prizes. Author Talk with Lionel Youst, Saturday, December 13 in the Myrtlewood Room, 2:00pm – 3:00pm. Come hear about the new book by local historian Lionel Youst. In All the Wars follows Joseph Clesson through the wars of his time and tells the tale of his involvement in multiple colonial wars. Lionel Youst is a sixth great-grandson of Joseph Clesson. They found each other during genealogical research, and so the story evolved. Mr. Youst is the author of multiple books and articles about historical events and people. Please consider donating a bag of fabric to the Coos Bay Library for use in our twice-monthly sewing classes with OCATEC. Limit one bag per person per week. 100% cotton or linen fabrics only, please. We are unable to accept fabrics which have been exposed to cigarette smoke. Our sewing classes are free to the public and enormously popular, so your donation goes a long way towards keeping fabric arts alive in our community.
