Description
On Tuesday at 9:13 p.m. a winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid from 10 p.m. until Wednesday 4 p.m. for North Oregon Cascades, Cascades of Marion and Linn counties and Cascades of Lane County.
"Total snow accumulations up to 4 inches to 8 inches, mainly above 3000 feet. Possible slick roads and icy conditions due to flash freezing. Winds gusting as high as 50 to 65 mph," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "Precipitation is expected to start out as rain before transitioning to snow after 4 a.m. Temperatures are expected to rapidly drop below freezing as a cold front passes through overnight. This may result in flash freezing of water on roadways at pass level."
