Description

Clackamas County officials are urging people near 301 South Redwood St. in Canby to evacuate immediately due to what they’re calling a hazardous materials emergency.

People should take only essential items and pets if possible.

The β€œLevel 3 - Go Now” evacuation notice was issued after reports of a possible gas explosion on Southeast Third Avenue came in Tuesday afternoon.

Canby police say drivers should expect road closures at Southeast Third Avenue and Redwood as emergency officials respond to the scene.

Authorities are asking people to avoid the area as crews work to investigate the possible explosion.

This is a developing story. Watch for updates.
