Jessica Gonzalez and her husband Edgar Hernandez pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud the United States. Prosecutors said they coordinated 17 shipments of 124,390 pounds of stolen baby formula from a Vancouver storage unit to San Pedro, California. The baby formula was bought through stolen food benefit accounts.Jessica Gonzalez and her husband Edgar Hernandez were each sentenced to 10 months in federal prison.“I’m truly sorry for this situation. The situation that I put my wife in,” Edgar Hernandez told a judge at sentencing. I love my family. I would do anything for them.”The judge agreed to stagger the couple's prison terms. Edgar Hernandez will serve his sentence first.

A California woman and her husband were sentenced to 10 months in federal prison Thursday for helping coordinate shipments of 124,390 pounds of stolen baby formula worth more than $2.4 million from a storage unit in Vancouver to San Pedro, California.
