Western Oregon release - Bodey Lutes | Coos Bay, Oregon | Marshfield High School, On June 21, 2025, Lutes placed second in the Nike Outdoor Nationals 800, pacing a time of 1:47.74 - only 0.06 second off the Oregon State High School 800 Record set in 2008. As of June 22, Lutes is ranked fifth in the United States in the 800 and holds multiple Oregon State High School records, crowned by recording the fastest 800 in Oregon State Meeting History in the spring of 2025 at 1:50.42. He holds six 4A State Titles, capped off by his 45.8 anchor split in the 4x4 to bring home Marshfield the state title his senior year. Lutes plans to study Education and/or Criminal Justice this fall.  Note:  Lutes was second in the 800 race at Eugene to Cooper Lutkenhaus (1:45.45) of Nike Elite.
