Supporters of Michael Fesser and his Going Home II program  picketed with signs on the sidewalk in front of Northeast Portland's Columbia River Correctional Institution on Wednesday.

A Black volunteer who has spent two decades leading a weekly group helping prisoners prepare for release from Portland’s Columbia River Correctional Institution was barred from the prison last week after a lieutenant allegedly addressed him using racist language during a confrontation.
