A 5.6-magnitude earthquake was recorded between the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast, Friday, July 31, 2026. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located southwest of Port McNeil, Vancouver Island, Canada. Along the same fault line, but further north, 4.8-magnitude, early Monday morning, Aug. 3, 2026 – South of Hydaburg, Alaska. And, at the southern end junction of the two fault lines, Sunday, Aug. 2, 2.7-magnitude, west to southsest of Petrolia, CA, near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
