BHHS Daily Announcements 12/16/2024
Hi Everyone,
-We have Spirit Week this week. The dress up days are the following:...
M - A Long Winter's Nap (PJ Day)
T - Grinch Day (Wear Green)
W - Favorite Holiday Movie Character
TH - Holiday Chaos (Wear all of your holiday accessories)
F - Ugly Sweater Day
-Senior Leadership and the Coffee Cave are hosting the first annual Winter Holiday Bear Hunt. There will be a Bruin Bear with a decorative hat hidden in different spots within the school building each day this week. The bear will only be in public areas, not classrooms. The first person to find the bear will have to turn it in to Tina in exchange for a drink from the Coffee Cave, compliments of Mr. Whitley. Happy Hunting.
-Order your Christmas Coffee Grams now through Wednesday. They will be delivered Thursday morning. You can place your order before school in front of Tina's office. Send one to that special someone.
-There is a Holiday Movie Night tonight in the gym starting at 7:00. We will be watching Home Alone. Swing by, grab some popcorn and enjoy the movie.
-Seniors, Wednesday is the last day for ordering senior sweatshirts. The order forms are outside Sandy's office and you can pay Tina the $35.
-Thursday is our Winter Celebration from 6:00-7:45. The Instrumental Concert will be from 7:00-7:45. Bring your folks, show them the projects you've been working on and listen to some great music.
-Strength and Conditioning Club will start Monday, January 6th and will be from after school until 5:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Meet at the Weight Room and bring a water bottle and athletic wear/shoes are strongly encouraged.
-Wellness Tip of the Week: Do Something for Someone Else
Our brains are wired for giving. In fact, the chemicals released by the brain during the process of giving are far more rewarding than when we receive gifts. Joining in, even in small local efforts, such as the community soup kitchen, the Humane Society, the retirement centers, hospitals/clinics, or community clubs or sports programs, all foster the feeling (and reality) that you are making a positive impact on another person's life. Volunteer yourself, time, energy, and efforts for others. You will make an impact on others and leave yourself feeling better too!
Show your Bruin PRIDE: Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Dignity, and Excellence.
