On December 11th, 2025, Lieutenant Karl Vertner and Support Services Specialist Michelle Maresco were presented with the Oregon State Sheriffs' Association (OSSA) special recognition for their service during 2025 as the Chair for their respective OSSA enforcement and support services command councils. Throughout the year, Lieutenant Vertner and Support Services Specialist Maresco have organized and lead all council meetings and coordinated statewide training opportunities all while ensuring their duties at their home agency remain a priority.
