Longtime University of Portland coach and athletic director Joe Etzel (far right) also coached baseball at Central Catholic High School.

At six foot six inches tall, Joe Etzel towered over Judy Kehoe. He was an imposing man, but that didn’t stop Kehoe from asking him to the Valentine’s day dance at University of Portland in 1960.
