A Beaverton City Council candidate was arrested Monday after allegedly scaring someone with a gun, police said.
Beaverton police responded to a “menacing” incident near the Beaverton City Library just after noon on Monday. The reporting party, who police did not identify, said a man “revealed he was armed with a handgun,” causing them to fear for their safety, police said.
