Description

Beacon Broadband
Business Oregon
Beacon Broadband is helping close the digital divide on Oregon’s South Coast with more than $18.6 million from the Broadband Deployment Program. Their Phase 2 project will bring high‑speed internet to over 1,100 locations across Coos and Curry counties—reaching even the most remote homes.
As a community‑driven cooperative, Beacon is building a network designed to last for decades, creating local jobs and ensuring families, students, seniors, and small businesses finally have the connectivity they need. With support from the Business Oregon's Oregon Broadband Office, state legislators, and community partners like Southwestern Oregon Community College, Beacon proved that when local and state leaders pull together, significant challenges can be met head-on.
