Due diligence period continues to ensure a thorough and thoughtful agreement – BAH release - COOS BAY, Ore.– Bay Area Hospital and Quorum Health are continuing negotiations beyond the original March 31, 2025, goal for a definitive agreement. This extension will allow additional time for both parties to complete a thorough review and analysis prior to entering into a binding contract.  “Time is ticking, especially given our financial reality, but getting this right is essential,” said Brian Moore, President and CEO of Bay Area Hospital. “A partnership has the potential to create long-term stability and growth for our hospital and community. We remain focused on doing what’s best for the people we serve.”  While the intention was always to complete due diligence within 90 days of the initial agreement, the timeline has been extended to ensure all regulatory and financial considerations are reviewed fully and thoughtfully. Both organizations remain committed to advancing the partnership and completing due diligence by summer.  “Impactful partnerships take time, and we are all doing the hard work it takes to make this very important decision,” said Chris Harrison, CEO of Quorum Health.  In December 2024, Bay Area Hospital and Quorum Health entered into a nonbinding Letter of Intent to begin exclusive negotiations and explore a formal partnership. This Letter of Intent remains in place and both organizations are continuing the work necessary to reach a definitive agreement. Additional updates will be shared as the process continues.  For more information, please visit bayareahospital.org/here-for-good/.
