Volunteers with the Ashland Food Project will make their 100th collection of food bags from the community June 13, 2026. Other cities have adopted the program.Ashland resident Paul Giancarlo waits in line to drop off his neighborhood's 99th Ashland Food Project donation in April 2026. Giancarlo and John Javna conceived of the idea in 2009.Volunteers with the Ashland Community Food Bank stock the shelves on Ashland Food Project pickup days. The grassroots Neighborhood Food Project program initiated in Ashland has reached a milestone. On Saturday, volunteers will make their 100th pickup, collecting thousands of filled green cloth bags from people’s front porches and delivering the donations to the Ashland Community Food Bank.
