Description

Families gathered at Creston Elementary School for a Popsicle social in advance of the start of the school year. Some parents there, and around the district, are on high alert, waiting for news about whether their school building might be on a proposed list for closures.

As she prepared to send her kids back to Creston Elementary School this fall, Sarah Horn said she and her family couldn’t quite shake the feeling that they were sitting ducks.
