Sen. Sara Gelser Blouin, a Corvallis Democrat who has long championed foster children, secured unanimous approval in the Oregon Senate to expand foster children's guaranteed rights.

Oregon foster children would be guaranteed ongoing contact with their siblings, have ready access to precious possessions and enjoy other expanded protections under a bill unanimously passed by the Oregon Senate Wednesday.
