Artists at Portland’s Art in the Pearl see cautious shoppers as costs rise

Joshua Pass, a machinist, goldsmith and sculptor based in Colorado, shows one of his pieces at Art in the Pearl in Portland. Pass said sales at art shows have been uneven this year, with some shoppers more hesitant to spend.

The crowds came to Portland’s Pearl District this weekend to look at paintings, woven tapestries, metal sculptures, pottery and other handmade art.
