El 4 de junio celebramos el Día de la Cultura Afroperuana, en homenaje a la riqueza cultural y a los aportes invaluables de la comunidad afrodescendiente al alma de la comunidad Peruana. Esta fecha recuerda el nacimiento de Nicomedes Santa Cruz, gran poeta y folclorista que dedicó su vida a rescatar y difundir las tradiciones afroperuanas a través de la música, la décima y el arte popular. Durante esta jornada se realizan actividades artísticas, danzas, exposiciones y encuentros que destacan la creatividad, la fuerza y el legado vivo de una comunidad que ha marcado profundamente la identidad del Perú.
