🚨Arrest Made in Connection with Disturbance on Lampa Lane🚨  
  
On January 5, 2025, at approximately 3:54 AM, North Coos Dispatch received a report of a disturbance at a residence on Lampa Lane in Myrtle Point. The homeowner reported that an individual was aggressively banging on their door, causing items to fall off the walls. The banging ceased after the homeowner confronted the suspect, who then left the area. Witnesses described the suspect as a male in his mid-20s driving a mid-90s truck.  
  
At around 5:04 AM, the homeowner reported that the suspect had returned but fled again before deputies arrived. Deputy MR Smith responded to the scene and initiated an investigation, noting significant damage to the front of the residence caused by the suspect using a sledgehammer.  
  
Deputy Smith attempted to locate the suspect’s vehicle in the area but was unsuccessful. An in-depth investigation conducted between January 5 and January 10 ultimately identified the suspect as 25-year-old Benjamin Bean of Coos County.  
  
On January 10, Deputy H. Francis located Mr. Bean and arrested him. He faces charges of Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, Attempted Criminal Trespass in the First Degree, and Menacing. Mr. Bean was booked into the Coos County Jail at 8:50 PM and remains in custody.
