April 2026 has been proclaimed Month of the Military Child in Tualatin, recognizing and honoring the strength, resilience, and sacrifice of children connected to military service.
Military children play an important role in supporting their families and our service members. With more than 6,700 military-connected children across Oregon, we recognize their courage, adaptability, and the unique challenges they face while their loved ones serve our country.
The City of Tualatin is proud to celebrate these young individuals and reaffirm our commitment to supporting military families in our community. When parents serve in the military, their kids serve too.
This proclamation was adopted at the March 23, 2026 City Council Meeting.
We encourage everyone to join us in honoring military children throughout April and to show appreciation for their contributions and sacrifices.
