On the morning of May 21st, Lane County Sheriff’s detectives requested Eugene Police Department assist with locating the involved murder suspects, who were last known to be in the area southeast of Oakridge several days before. EPD investigators were able to use their newly acquired LPR technology to quickly locate the involved vehicle. Within minutes, they were able to send resources to assist with the apprehension of several murder suspects. This apprehension would not have occurred so quickly without the assistance of Eugene Police Department's LPR technology. The female juvenile victim’s identity will not be released at this time. Release of the male adult victim’s identity is still pending next of kin notification.
