2025 LINEUP ANNOUNCEMENT!
The American Music Festival's free "Concerts in the Park" series returns this summer for its 30th season at Azalea Park in Brookings, Oregon, with the first of eight shows set for Sunday, June 15.
The series continues various Sundays at 1 p.m. through Aug. 31 featuring bands that play classic and modern rock, country, pop, Americana, soul and funk.
“We have a stellar lineup of artists this summer with returning favorites and new-to-us acts, including the incomparable hard rocking band The Outlaw Mariachi,” said Scott Graves, series promoter for the nonprofit AMF. “Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and dancing shoes and enjoy a summer of great live music!”
The concert series — supported by presenting sponsors Rogue Credit Union and Travel Curry Coast — attracts up to 1,200 music fans per concert. Food and beverages will be sold by the Brookings-Harbor Rotary Club at the Snack Shack. The sound system is provided by sound engineer and local resident Ed Ajimine.
AMF board chair Les Cohen credited the series’ success to an increase in business sponsorships and generous crowd donations that allows the nonprofit to attract quality artists that typically play only larger cities.
“The community’s generosity and financial support is key to maintaining such a wonderful summer tradition,” Cohen said. "This is truly the community's concert series."
Here is the lineup:
• June 15: "The Girls" show presented by The Rogue Suspects, Southern Oregon’s premier rock, blues and pop act for eighteen years and named Rogue Valley's favorite band repeatedly. Featuring the women-led pop and rock hits of the 80s and 90s.
• June 22: Rose's Pawn Shop is a progressive Americana, rock, folk and bluegrass band from Los Angeles featuring high-energy, harmony-driven original and cover songs.
• July 6: California Country, a 5-piece premier dance band delivers a fun mix of 90s country, with a dash of Merle and Hank, and a healthy dose Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan and Luke Combs. All their songs are chosen with a purpose, to be crowd favorite sing-alongs.
• July 13: The Outlaw Mariachi, a favorite at state fairs and major festivals throughout the United States, is Los Angeles' premiere rock mariachi band. They apply traditional music with the high-powered energy of American and Latin rock to songs by Queen, Pink Floyd, Beastie Boys, Guns N Roses and the Beatles.
• July 20: The San Francisco-based Dirty Cello brings its high-energy blend of covers and originals steeped in blues, rock and bluegrass, led by fiery cross-over cellist and lead singer Rebecca Roudman.
• Aug. 10: Bonnie Raitt Tribute, the latest show created by The Rogue Suspects includes many Raitt's greatest blues, rock and country-tinged hits and fan favorites.
• Aug. 24: Object Heavy, this Northern California favorite delivers hard hitting soul and funk music led by the powerful voice of Richard Love. Named "Best Original Band of Humboldt" five times in the past seven years.
• Aug. 31: Nate Botsford and his band will get folks up and dancing with their feel good, sing-along country rock hits and originals. Similar in style to Old Dominion, Brett Young, Chris Janson, Lonestar and Johnny Cash.
The Rotary Club of Brookings-Harbor operates the Snack Shack for all the events, providing food such as hot dogs, pizza and burgers, and sodas and water. In case of bad weather, the concerts will move indoors to the Gibney Center at Brookings-Harbor High School or Azalea Middle School cafeteria, 505 Pacific Ave.
The Pacific Coast Trolley will provide free rides from the lower parking field on North Bank Chetco River Road to the park’s bandshell. The pickup times for the Sunday concerts are 12-1 p.m. and 3-4 p.m. Wednesday’s pickup times are 5-6 p.m. and 8-9 p.m.
