Description
On Thursday at 2:39 p.m. an air stagnation advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Friday 10 a.m. until Sunday 10 a.m. for Central Douglas County and Eastern Curry County and Josephine County as well as Jackson County.
"Decreased air quality will probably develop. This is due to an inversion and stagnant air conditions near the surface that will continue to trap pollutants within the valleys of Douglas, Josephine and Jackson counties," can be expected according to the weather service. "A strong area of high pressure will build in briefing Friday and Saturday before weakening slightly on Sunday. This will lead to poor mixing of the atmosphere and the trapping of pollutants."
