On Tuesday at 11:56 a.m. an air stagnation advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Jan. 19 at 4 a.m. for Harney, Baker and Malheur counties.

The weather service adds to anticipate, "An extended period of stagnant air, with light winds and little vertical mixing. This is due to an inversion near the surface that will continue to trap pollutants."
