At 12:43 p.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service issued an air stagnation advisory in effect until Monday at 10 a.m. for East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades.
The weather service states, "Poor air quality is expected across the advised area. This is due to an area of high atmospheric pressure settling into the region, causing stagnant air conditions near the surface that will trap air pollutants."
