DEQ release - QUICK FACTS - Location: Baker, eastern Clackamas, Crook, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, northern Malheur, eastern Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, southern Wasco, and Wheeler counties. End date: Until at least Monday afternoon; Smoke source: Multiple wildfires in Central Oregon and Eastern Oregon. The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality issued an air quality advisory Friday, July 31, 2026, for Baker, eastern Clackamas, Crook, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, northern Malheur, eastern Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, southern Wasco, and Wheeler counties due to smoke from multiple wildfires in Central Oregon and Eastern Oregon. DEQ expects the air quality advisory to last until at least Monday afternoon. DEQ and partner agencies will continue to monitor smoke in the area.
