The highlight of the season for Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard was his surprising win at the 3-Point Contest during NBA All-Star Weekend. (AP Photo/Jae C. Hong)

The Portland Trail Blazers made the playoffs for the first time in five years, produced an All-Star for the first time in three years, beat the Phoenix Suns in the NBA play-in tournament and breezed past Las Vegas’ preseason win projections.
