After more than 15 years of dedicated service, we would like to announce the retirement of Deputy Darrell Norton, effective, Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

Darrell’s career with our agency began in July 2009 when he joined as a Reserve Deputy. Just two months later, he transitioned to a full-time deputy in September of that same year.

For the first few years of his career, Darrell worked primarily out of the north county office. In 2015, he was selected to serve as a Marine Deputy. For the past decade, Darrell has been a familiar presence on the waterways of Douglas County. Additionally, Darrell has made valuable contributions to the education of local children and the public through school events and community functions.

Additionally, Darrell served our country in the United States Navy.

Darrell's hard work, dedication, and commitment has left an impact on this community. We are grateful for his years of service. As he enters this next chapter of his life, we wish him nothing but the best in his well-deserved retirement.
