OSU release - CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State baseball team has received the Team Academic Excellence Award from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), which was announced on Wednesday. Oregon State is one of 440 college programs from all levels of the sport. The Beavers, however, are one of just six teams at the Division I level who have earned the honor in all 10 years it has been in existence. The Beavers are joined by Ball State, Cincinnati, East Carolina, St. John's and UAB. To be eligible for the honor, teams must maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average over the 2024-25 academic year. Oregon State finished the year with a 3.33. The honor comes after Gavin Turley and Wilson Weber were also named First-Team Academic All-Americans by the College Sports Communicators. Twelve Beavers have been named Academic All-Americans in the program's history, with six during Mitch Canham's six-year tenure as the Pat Casey Head Coach.
