This screenshot shows a fake AI-generated image of Democrats Gov. Tina Kotek, left, and U.S. Rep. Janelle Bynum. Jonathan Lockwood, who unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination to challenge Bynum, posted this and other unconventional AI-enhanced ads on his campaign Facebook page.

The ads were not typical political fare.
