A Maryland father died after returning to his burning home in an effort to find his 10-year-old child, who had already escaped safely, as investigators work to determine whether improperly discarded fireworks may have ignited the blaze during the Fourth of July holiday weekend. Officials say the fatal fire occurred Sunday night in Hollywood, Maryland, roughly 60 miles southeast of Washington, D.C.
